With anxiety, he said to Carol, \u201cI hope she likes me.\u201d \u201cYou know, I\u2019ve always wanted a family. But I become so anxious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carol exclaimed, \u201cGran!\u201d as she rushed to give her grandma a hug. \u201cYou\u2019ve been missed!\u201d Her grandma gave her a bear embrace in return and peered over her shoulder at Tony, who was standing there acting bewildered and lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYoung man, come over here,\u201d Gran Emily chuckled. \u201cI\u2019m not a biter!\u201d She also kissed and hugged Tony. \u201cSit down, you two! Carol, I\u2019ve created all of your favorites!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the starlight, the three of them conversed and ate for hours. Tony realized the wine bottle was empty as he was going to offer Gran Emily another drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMrs. Frank,\u201d stated Tony. Is there wine left? Carol and I intended to make an announcement and propose a special toast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cObviously, Tony!\u201d said Gran Emily. \u201cThe sitting room may be seen as you enter through the kitchen. By the entryway is a wine rack! I\u2019m eager to hear this announcement, so hurry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony entered the little kitchen and made his way straight to the wine rack and sofa. With the wine bottle tucked under his arm, he turned to stroll back outside when something attracted his attention. Over the mantel, there was a picture, and there was something familiar about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony moved in closer. In front of Gran Emily\u2019s home was a young couple holding a toddler, as shown in the photo. The young youngster had a noticeable birthmark on his small arm and was sporting a short-sleeved shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony began to tremble. He removed the picture and examined it thoroughly. It is not possible! With shaky fingers, he undid the cuff and examined the birthmark on his own arm. It matched the boy\u2019s precisely in the picture. He was the one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony took the picture outdoors and took a seat next Grandma Emily. \u201cMrs. Frank, please,\u201d he pleaded. \u201cWho is this?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI must be informed,\u201d Tony sobbed. \u201cPlease! To me, it holds immense significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gran Emily got to her feet. Her expression was irate. Why, she enquired. \u201cIt\u2019s not your concern!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony exposed his arm by pulling back his sleeve. It may be, Mrs. Frank, I believe! I believe I\u2019m the boy in the picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gran Carol was astounded and had to take a seat, as was Emily. She muttered, \u201cMy grandson Karl was kidnapped when he was three.\u201d \u201cWe spent years looking for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony stated, \u201cWhen I was five years old, I was left at a hospital.\u201d \u201cI was just aware of my name, Tony. I was raised in foster homes by them, but I never thought that We must do a DNA test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gran Emily gave a nod. \u201cYes, and your parents need to be called!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy mom and dad?\u201d Tony gestured toward the youthful pair in the picture. These, my parents, are they?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh no!\u201d Carol grinned as she spoke. \u201cThose are your aunt and uncle because they are MY parents. Did you fail to identify them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony gave Carol a quick glance. \u201cAre we related? Me and you both? cousins first?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gran Emily grinned. \u201cYes, you and Carol are first cousins if you are Karl.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carol said, \u201cOh!\u201d as she sprang up and hurried into the house while sobbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What? Gran Emily enquired. \u201cWhat did I say?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony declared, \u201cWe\u2019re engaged.\u201d \u201cWe intended to tie the knot\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh dear,\u201d the grandmother remarked regretfully. \u201cWell Tony, I\u2019m afraid that\u2019s not possible if you are first cousins!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony lowered his head and felt his eyes well up with tears. \u201cHowever, I adore Carol,\u201d he muttered. \u201cMy life\u2019s love is her!\u201d And Tony realized then that in order to realize his ambition of starting a family, he would have to give up Carol, his future wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily grinned. \u201cOh, that was your birthday! Your uncle and aunt are also godparents, along with Carol\u2019s parents! Your folks currently reside in Iowa. Even though you now have three sisters and a brother, your family has never stopped missing you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony was greeted with open arms by his parents and siblings after the results of the DNA test proved that he was, in fact, Karl Frank, the long-lost young kidnapper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Though they had to split ways, Tony knew in his heart that he would always love his cousin, even after they saw each other three years later. He wished Carol well as she walked down the aisle at her wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
