Back at the house, a relative carefully inspected the bathroom and discovered the frightening explanation: a venomous snake had been hiding inside the toilet bowl, partially concealed beneath the rim. It had apparently entered through the plumbing and remained unnoticed until the man’s hand came close enough for it to strike.
